ASMAZ Timber Frame Reconstruction Project
As ASMAZ Timber Frame Buildings; we are reconstructing a demolished, three-floor historic timber frame mansion in Emirgan, at the Bosphorus. All official dealings of the historic timber frame mansion which is located in Resitpasa Quarter, Sarıyer Municipality; have been completed in Council of Monuments and its foundation license has been obtained by the land owner. Over-Foundation license of the building whose foundation and basement floor are reinforced concrete has been approved by the competent authorities after the required surveys were performed.
We are experiencing the excitement of achieving a successful Construction/ Reconstruction Project for preserving and maintaining the historical heritage of Turkish Timber Frame Buildings, Traditional Turkish Houses and our monumental timber frame architecture.
We are very pleased with carrying out such a project within this period in which activities of the European Capital of Culture have started in Istanbul.
This style called reconstruction means reconstructing a work which is completely demolished, destroyed or in great devastation basing upon the documents in hand. In some cases; reconstruction is inevitable for the sake of protecting our cultural heritage. There are applied reconstruction works in buildings which are symbolic parts of a city and also members of a historical composition. For performing reconstruction, technical data that will enable the reconstruction work and the related graphical documents such as photos, building surveys etc. should be available.
Because most parts of the historical cities are developing with plans that are structureless or not concerned about protection; city centers intertwined with historical, natural and archeological areas come up against the threat of losing their cultural identity.
As ASMAZ Timber Frame Buildings; we pay attention to and place great emphasis on protection and usage of the existing cultural texture of the historical city centers, their transfer to the next generations by providing their integration with contemporary living conditions and revealing the importance of landscape design in concern with these subjects in historical districts within the frame of our works.
